“I want to thank Dr. Ted Spinks and the staff of the Animal Hospital of Sussex County located on Route 206 in Augusta, NJ for the care and dedication in they have given to our “Holly.” Last year our “Holly” tore her ACL on her right rear leg. We could tell she was in a great deal of pain, and Dr. Spinks performed the “Tight Rope” ACL surgery procedure on April 6th, 2021. Holly is a very tall and active dog, and it was a major chore keeping her calm and under control after the surgery and the rehab so as not to damage the surgery, or put additional strain on her other leg. I can’t say it’s an easy rehab, because it is very time consuming and requires a great deal of care. She had to be restricted from her normal routine giving the leg the needed time to heal. It’s a day to day, month to month on-going process. I will say it was a blessing to have such a qualified doctor and staff right here in Sussex County taking care of our dear “Holly”. I can’t say enough about the Animal Hospital of Sussex County, Dr. Spinks and his staff. When you need them they are there, always giving their very best to your animals that mean so very much to us. On April 6, 2022, it will be a year since “Holly” had this “Tight-Rope” ACL procedure. Holly is 3 1/2 years old and today she is a happy and healthy girl.
Being Holly had to be restricted from activity during the early days of her surgery, I purchased a dog crate, large enough for a “Great Dane,” and slept in the crate with her many nights so she wouldn’t be alone. I think that makes me a “Lab Mom” for sure.”

“Dr. Spinks performed the Arthrex Tightrope procedure on our Pudelpointer (hunting dog) – in 2019 -we thought her hunting days were over. The surgery was a success & she is still hunting at 11 years old. They did an amazing job & we are so grateful. I can’t give enough stars for the care & follow up on our girl Missy Idaho. Thank you.”

11 year old hunting dog, Idaho, is able to enjoy her senior years doing what she loves thanks to her tightrope procedure done by Dr. Spinks in 2019.
